Membership
Membership in the UKKS is a privilege extended to martial artists who demonstrate a
commitment to excellence, integrity, and the continuous pursuit of personal and professional growth.
Section 1: Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals committed to martial arts principles and practices and meeting the UKKS requirements.
Section 2: Application Process
Membership Application Fee:
1. There is no charge for submitting a membership application.
2. The UKKS board members will vet and review membership applications. A background check may be conducted or required, and applications can be denied based on certain conditions.
Conditions for Denial of Membership Application:
1. Incomplete or inaccurate information provided in the application.
2. A negative result from the background check, such as a criminal record.
3. Evidence of misconduct or unethical behavior in previous affiliations.
4. Lack of recommendation or endorsement from current UKKS members.
5. Misrepresentation of rank or martial arts achievements.
6. Any other condition deemed unsuitable by the UKKS board members.
Membership Dues Effective Beginning 2025:
1. Individual Black Belt Membership: $75.00 per year
2. Under Black Belt Membership: $35.00 per year
3. School Memberships: School memberships have been discontinued.
Section 3: Rights and Responsibilities
Members can participate in exciting UKKS events and access our comprehensive training resources. Members must understand and respect the martial arts values that UKKS upholds. This includes adhering to UKKS policies and procedures designed to maintain a harmonious and respectful environment within the organization.
Section 4: Membership Benefits
1. Each enrolled member will receive a personalized certificate with a unique number indicating the membership duration.
2. Every enrolled member will be provided with a small UKKS patch featuring black fabric with red thread, symbolizing unity within the organization. These patches are designed to be affixed to the upper right chest of the uniform.
3. Paid members will enjoy discounted rates for events and seminars.
4. Opportunities for networking across various martial arts disciplines.
5. Access to business support services.
6. An inclusive and supportive environment devoid of politics.
7. Learning opportunities available for practitioners of all ranks.
8. Platform for information exchange.
